I hope someday embedding latex formula in html codes would become part of html standard - Those people who wish to write equations in their blogs will definitely agree. But now, some effort still needs to be paid to make latex work for blogging. Either one can reply on some public CGI service(e.g. mimetex) or installing the whole stuff on your web server. The second routine is obviously much more reliable. Fortunately, wordpress happens to have a WP LaTeX pluggin. Unfortunately, it requires a LaTeX installation on the host. Well, wordpress blog itself has one. But I don’t.

Not that bad. It is still possible to install a local copy of LaTeX in home directory(an alternative way is persuading the web host to install one for you. Not recommended.) To do that, one needs a remote access(SSH) to the host. And some struggle for configure the tetex package(for linux) appropriately. As usual, someone has done all these painful things.     直接下个 texlive 装就行了。在 hostmonster 里下 texlive dvd 只要几秒钟 -_-
